Laird to Exhibit Innovative Telematics Platform, IDAS Antennas at Mobile World Congress Americas
SAN FRANCISCO – Global connectivity leader Laird (LRD: London) will be displaying its newest vehicle telematics and sophisticated indoor distributed antennas systems (iDAS) and other products that make the wireless world work at Mobile World Congress Americas, September 12-14, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, it was announced today.
Mobile World Congress Americas, a premier mobile industry event for North, Central, and South America companies, also will feature speeches from industry experts, and exhibits to showcase cutting-edge mobile technologies, products and services.
Laird, a leading member of the 5G Automotive Association (5GAA), will be exhibiting its innovative Open Platform, and Modular and Scalable Telematics Platform with Open LINUX OS, among other products at Booth N 705 in the M2M Zone at the Moscone Center.

Laird’s Open Platform is a Linux-based, modular and scalable telematics platform that enables enhanced cloud, device, and in-car connectivity. Its benefits range from basic vehicle telematics to high-end connectivity that uses cellular, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/Glonass protocols. It also enables secure modular and scalable vehicle hardware and software, which can be updated over-the-air.
Laird experts also will be displaying a series of new products -- from its RG1xx series LoRaWAN/Wi-Fi/BTE Gateway with Ethernet to BL652 series Bluetooth v5 + NFC Module to Laird’s new 60 Series 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n, 2x2 MU-MIMO + Bluetooth Series.
Additionally, Laird will be showing its new indoor CFD Ultra Low Profile Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Low Passive Intermodulation (PIM) antenna, which is just seven millimeters thick. It is an ultra-low profile antenna that provides buildings with an inconspicuous yet high performance antenna for enhanced wireless connectivity.
Laird also will be displaying its innovative, multi-coil wireless charging tray to fully charge mobile devices while inside a vehicle.
