Recovery operations at the Laird Technologies’ facility in Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania continues to progress at a rapid rate.
Product shipments to customers within the last week are 20% higher than average weekly shipment levels that were experienced prior to the early April flood.
Production in the Metals building has restarted in every area and is ramping to capacity as equipment is brought on-line. This includes stamping, 4-slides, heat treat, effluent treatment, plating, roll form, secondary operations, shipping/receiving, WEDM, and tooling.
The restart of equipment and production in the CCD building has been facilitated because the flood waters did not affect the electrical transformers.
The business system software is fully operational with all order, inventory, and process data loaded and available for planning and order management. Customer support personnel are back on site servicing customer requirements.
The flood at the North American Delaware Water Gap facility only comprised approximately 12% of Laird Technologies’ global workforce and manufacturing square footage. The investments made in global manufacturing facilities have added unsurpassed capabilities to deal with unexpected emergencies and has not affected operations at other Laird Technologies’ locations. The following plants are continuing full uninterrupted manufacturing and customer service operations.
