These act as conductive seals, stopping such emissions from reaching sensitive equipment within, or leaking out to similarly affect equipment located outside.
The company’s fingerstock gaskets offer the highest possible shielding for a seal. Moreover, these products are excellent whether used in a wiping action or in compression - the elastic nature of the copper beryllium metal alloy means it has a repeatable cycle that is ideal for door closure. Compression and deflection performances are excellent, even at high temperatures.
Laird Technologies’ copper beryllium fingerstock gaskets provide an EMI attenuation of 124dB at 10MHz. Self-adhesive or clip mounting versions are available to suit specific applications, and the standard finishes are bright copper or tin. A wide range of profiles is available from stock. Additionally available from the company are similar fingerstock gaskets in stainless steel (also phosphor bronze) for applications where corrosion might be a problem or where high cleanliness is required – such as in the food, beverage or pharmaceuticals industries.
