Aesthetically Colored Fabric-Over-Foam Shielding Gaskets
Aesthetically Colored Fabric-Over-Shielding gaskets offer engineers an attractive design alternative to standard EMI shielding options by providing a gasket that is colored to match the outside of a chassis.
Aesthetically Colored Fabric-Over-Foam shielding gaskets are ideal for applications such as consumer gaming electronics and home computers where shielding is needed in a location that may be visible to the outside of the chassis. Aesthetically Colored Fabric-Over-Foam shielding gaskets are typically used in applications where the input/output connectors (i.e. video, audio, USB, etc.) are located on the front of the chassis.
The gasket is comprised of a polyester film material that is applied to one side of the foam core. The metallized fabric is then wrapped in a manner that it bonds with two parallel edges of the polyester film material. Bonding the fabric to the polyester film ensures the contact path from the chassis to the component. The polyester film is colored to match your application requirements.
