GENERAL MOTORS HONORS LAIRD TECHNOLOGIES' DIVISION AS A 2005 SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR
Grand Blanc, Mich. (May 10, 2006) – RecepTec, LLC, a unit of Laird Technologies, announced today that it was named as a General Motors (GM) Supplier of the Year for its overall business performance in providing GM with world-class parts and services.

They are recognized as a GM Supplier of the Year because they exceeded our expectations in 2005," said Bo Andersson, vice president of Global Purchasing and Supply Chain, GM. ”RecepTec is one of the best suppliers in the world, and we thank them for their hard work and commitment in helping make GM vehicles the best in the world.”
The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992. Winners are selected by a worldwide team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price. This year General Motors honored 85 suppliers for their outstanding performance throughout 2005. The award was given out during ceremonies Saturday, April 29, at GM’s Vehicle Engineering Center at the General Motors Technical Center in Warren, Mich.

RecepTec was formed in 1999 with engineering centers in Grand Blanc, Mich. and Hildesheim, Germany. The company has grown to become a leading supplier of antennas and reception systems to vehicle manufacturers around the world and was recently recognized by Frost & Sullivan as 2006 Market Leader of the Year in the category of satellite radio antennas. RecepTec works with manufacturing partners in North America, Europe, Korea and China to maintain its position as a local, low-cost supplier. In March 2006, RecepTec was acquired by Laird Technologies of St. Louis, as part of Laird Technologies’ expansion into mobile communications and telematics technology.
