August 7, 2013 – Laird, a global technology company, announced it will attend the APCO International 79th Annual Conference & Expo. The event will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, August 18-21, 2013. Laird will exhibit solutions for the Public Safety industry at booth #1529.  

Laird will display a variety of public safety solutions at the event, including two recently released products, the elastomer spring for whip antennas and a UHF Wideband Whip Antenna. The elastomer spring provides increased flexibility and better shape retention due to its EPDM rubber body. It also reduces electronic and road noise when compared to stainless steel springs. The UHF Wideband Antenna is a high-performance coil whip antenna that eases interoperability issues while still maintaining antenna performance. It features 3 dBi of gain and covers the full UHF band from 380 – 520 MHz.
